Personal data management policy


RTE is committed to ensuring that the processing of personal data conducted on the Serect site complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Information and Liberties Law.

1. Data Protection Policy

Each online service limits the collection of personal data to what is strictly necessary (data minimization) and is accompanied by information on :

  • The data controller and the purposes for collecting this data (objectives);
  • The legal basis for data processing 
  • The mandatory or optional nature of data collection for managing your request, and a reminder of the categories of data processed;
  • The source of the data (when other data sources beyond those provided through the online service are used for processing your request);
  • The categories of individuals concerned;
  • The recipients of the data (generally only RTE, unless specified otherwise when transmission to a third party is necessary);
  • The duration of data retention;
  • The security measures (general description);
  • Any potential transfers of data outside the European Union or the existence of automated decision-making;
  • Vos droits Informatique et Libertés and how to exercise them with RTE.

The personal data collected through the services provided on the Serect site are processed according to secure protocols and allow RTE to manage the requests received in its IT applications.

4.2 Cookies for audience measurement

To adapt the site to visitors' needs, we measure the number of visits, the number of pages viewed, as well as visitor activity on the site and their frequency of return. PIWIK, the statistical tool used by this site, generates the following cookies:

We also collect your IP address to determine the city from which you are connecting. This information is anonymized immediately after use. RTE cannot, therefore, trace it back to an individual.

The personal data collected (cookie identifier) is retained by RTE for a period of 28 days. It is not shared with third parties nor used for other purposes.
