RTE-SERECT is innovating by developing a new mobile elevating platform (PEMP) for live line work.

Safety, maneuverability, speed, The PEMP is an elevating platform that allows RTE maintenance teams to perform live-line work on electrical lines up to 400,000 volts and at a height of 41 meters.
This 28-ton elevating platform, both impressive and maneuverable, is mounted on an 8x8 truck with enhanced off-road capabilities.
Developed by SERECT, this elevating platform is the result of five years of research in partnership with France Elévateur. RTE's maintenance teams have been testing it since September 2023.
The partnership between RTE and France Elévateur has led to solutions that meet the requirements precise : working at great heights, with voltages up to 400,000 volts, and using an all-terrain vehicle. Among the innovations are: insulating arms with fiber optic control systems for precise movements, a reinforced telescopic structure for great stability, and silent battery operation to ensure effective communication on site, making this PEMP a hybrid platform.
The platform also addresses ergonomic and safety concerns by providing a better working position for operators, facilitating access to the work area, and ensuring evacuation in case of emergency.
This partnership with the company from Meurthe-et-Moselle has already led to the creation in 2016 of a mobile elevating platform dedicated to live-line work in electrical substations.
